Fads come and go all the time, but there's some classic ones that just etch memories so great in our minds that it's almost impossible to let go. Bey Blades made a wave, battling your mates in the school playground. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards came along and collecting all five pieces of 'Exodia' was an obsession. But none came close to the hype that Pokémon created.

Whether it was watching the show, playing the Game Boy games or collecting the cards, it took up big portions of our childhood.
Well, now it's time to rejoice. It was announced on the Pokémon website that the original set of cards will be getting a reprint on February 27, 2016.

The reissue will coincide with the original release twenty years ago. Unfortunately, it's being released in Japan, but it might be worth the post and packaging for a trip down memory lane.

Along with the cards, it was also announced that Pokémon Red, Green and Yellow would be reissued. Which is brilliant news. It may actually be time to blow the dust off our Game Boy Colours and 'catch 'em all'. I'd happily reclaim my virginity and hermit until I've defeated Mewtwo.
Although there has been no mention of any of these being released in America or Europe, we can probably expect it to happen. It'd be far too popular not to.
