There has been an issue brought up by many students from IB MYP schools, the issue being the difficulty of the examination which has just taken place today. Also adding on to that , the exam was irrelevant to what we have learnt throughout the 2 year long MYP course. This is a major concern for students across the year group and it is extremely vital for students who are looking into entering HL Physics or HL Maths. The MYP did not prepare us enough, they supplied us with a long objective list that was brief and barely any of the topics listed came in the examination. The questions were worded in a way which was no where near the Practice E-Exams we received. The format of the examination was too complex for the students in both extended and standard level maths. It is extremely demotivating for students who are wanting to join MYP next year when they see the students of this year have such a hard time and wasted so much of their time. The solution would be to lower the boundaries and to prepare the next years students even more.
